Co Treasurer Needed
Do you get a good feeling when you balance your checkbook? Are you good with numbers? Do you like money? Well if you answered yes to any of these questions our current PTA Treasurer would love to have your assistance this year in preparation for her retirement! No experience necessary-all training provided. This is a nice way to get involved with PTA if you are looking to get started. Please contact us if you are interested!

Eager Reader and Science Fair Co-Chairs Needed
Two of Challenger's favorite programs are in need of assistance. We have several people who would like to help with Eager Reader but we would like one or two more folks who are interested in chairing this event. We also need some help with Science Fair. We have a parent who would like to chair but is in need of some assistance as it is a much easier job with more than one person. No experience is necessary for either of these positions as there are folks around to help with the transition. Please contact Yvette Artman if you are interested in getting a little more involved with either of these programs.

Announcing Destination Imagination
We are happy to bring Destination Imagination(DI) to Challenger this year. DI is an extra-curricular program where students in K through 5th grade form teams(with 3-7 members) with the help of parent volunteers and independently solve open-ended challenges related to STEM principles and present their solutions at tournaments. Through this program, students learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation and learn skills needed to succeed in school, career, and life, including teamwork, communication, project management, perseverance, creative and critical thinking, and self confidence.

To learn more about this program please attend our informational meeting on September 25th at 6:30 pm in the Challenger lib ray.
