Challenger PTA

Reflections, the Annual PTA Art Program, is here!

Do you have a budding artist in the house? Have them take part in Reflections! Reflect on a theme.  Create an original work.  Be recognized.  Your child can use this year’s theme, “Diversity Means…” to create something in one of six different categories.  Have them draw a picture, write a story, take a photo, make up a song, make up a dance, create a video or a play.  ART WORK MADE IN ART CLASSES DO NOT QUALIFY.  Pick up entry forms and rule sheets from the wall display across from the future new office doors (near the atrium). Forms and information are online:

PARENTS: Follow the directions for each category carefully; there is a new way for labeling the entry. After all the entries are judged, Reflections participants and their families will be invited to a Social and Awards Reception on Nov 17 (evening).   All participants will receive a ribbon (a really awesome ribbon) and twelve entries will move on to represent Challenger at the school district level competition in November.

A Reflections Chair is needed for the 2012-13 school year. This is a rewarding program to chair- you don’t need art experience! You can share this position with a friend and shadow Sandi this year to learn how easy it is. Please contact sandi.dong@comcast.net offer your time and enthusiasm so Reflections can continue at Challenger next year.
